An EMS tech uses pictures of car wrecks to impress on high school drivers' ed classes the need to drive responsibly. Allegedly
, one of the pictures includes the dead body of a kid who attended the high school and died a few months earlier in a car crash. EMs denies there were any pictures of dead bodies, just pictures of smashed cars. If there were pictures of dead bodies, and if the EMS company was a covered entity (probably was), then disclosure of the pictures would probably be disclosure of PHI. If the body was not identifiable, it probably wouldn't be.
