Healthcare.gov: Who Has Access to What Data?  It seems a lot of vendors can access information of people who log onto healthcare.gov to look for Obamacare insurance or information.  I wonder if these vendors are subject to BAAs or other privacy and confidentiality restrictions.  I don't believe the website is a HIPAA covered entity. . . .

You're right: HealthCare.gov is not a HIPAA-covered entity, as per HHS's statement to my blog, PHIprivacy.net.

HHS states the site is covered under the federal Privacy Act and state laws.
