Data Theft and Meth Labs: I pretty regularly refer to the stolen laptop epidemic as a "crackhead" problem -- they aren't stolen by data theives because they have PHI on them, they're stolen because some crackhead wants to fence it and get drug money. 

Well, it turns out that in California, there might be a more direct link between stolen PHI and meth labs -- the records were found in a drug bust  (I previously noted the case here).  It's starting to look like this not just a coincidence.
