Mass. General Data Breach: Another day, another data breach. This time, it's limited to 66 Massachusetts General Hospital patients. Their paper records were left on a subway train. Unlike most data breaches, where the concern is social security numbers or other information that could be used for identity theft, the data here was billing records, which do contain name and date of birth, but also contain diagnoses. Worse yet in that regard, the patients were folks being seen at an infectious disease clinic, which could mean that the records contain embarrasing information.
