Identity Theft via Wireless Connectivity: the Wall Street Journal has an interesting article today (subscription requried) about the Marshall's and TJ Maxx customer account data theft, and how the hackers took advantage of very lax security in the wireless system of one particular store.

Comments:
TJ Maxx's or TJX's response to it only added to the problem. They tried to hide the impact of it in a 10-C filing, only to get more grief, when the press decided to dig through it.

They offered assistance to a fraction of the victims and said sorry to the rest.

I added TJX to my company "Wall of Shame".
