GLB Update Updated: I had a little sidebar comment below on how lawyers aren't "financial institutions" under Gramm-Leach-Bliley back on December 7, and just got an email from John Podvin, a banking lawyer here in Texas and chairman of a privacy law committee I sit on, noting that while lawyers aren't covered by GLB, we are still covered by the Texas state law that govern privacy and security of personal information in the Texas Business & Commerce Code. We don't fit the definition in GLB, but we don't meet an exclusion in the Texas statute.
So there, again.
