More HIPAA in the News:
According to this story
in the Albany Business Review (free registration required), providers in Albany have had a pretty successful time implementing HIPAA. On reviewing the article, though, it's disconcerting to see so many errors and misconceptions about what HIPAA requires and what it doesn't. The article's author also mixes up the TCS standards and the Security standards.
And here's an article
from the Charleston Post and Courier on the stateo of HIPAA in South Carolina. Sounds like this reporter has a little better grip on what's really required by HIPAA and what's just a story.
Nice to hear some good stories.
