The agency tasked with enforcing the Privacy rule, the Department of Human Services' Office for Civil Rights, has some new guidance on complying with the Privacy Rule. The guidance specifically addresses incidental uses, minimum necessary standards, personal representatives (a big issue for physician providers), TPO, marketing, research, and workers comp issues, along with a few other miscellaneous items.
