More OT:

Another awesome piece by Mark Steyn.

He repeats James Robbins' comments about "The General Militia of Flight 93" reporting to duty and saving the White House. That's one of my two favorite lines about that flight and the heroic Americans who died on it. The other is, I think, Glen Reynolds' who noted that it only took average Americans 90 minutes to "get inside their decision curve." The terrorists had a good plan, one that beat our defenses at the time. But a bunch of average American Joes undid their good plan, with nothing but cell phones and good old American courage, in less than two hours.
