Five California Hospitals
fined for data breaches
(via BNA; subscription required). Fines range from $25,000 to $325,000, and mainly relate to the failure of the facilities to prevent employees from unauthorized access. Can't tell for sure if these are snooping cases or something more.
the story for free, if you're not a BNA subscriber.
UPDATE 2: At least the UCLA hospital involved snoopin'
-- on Michael Jackson's records.
