Off topic: Doctors suing doctors.
I have heard of doctors who serve as expert witnesses being shunned by their peers if they serve as plaintiff's witnesses (especially if they get the reputation of always being on the plaintiff's side), but this article
is the first I've heard of defendant doctors actually suing the expert witness for the plaintiff. I've had a client want to sue the plaintiff's expert for defamation on occasion, and was told by my litigators that testimony is privileged from such a cause of action, unless it's false to the point of being perjurious. Interesting trend.
