I work at a university connected with a healthcare entity. Our doctors and researchers use some of our university tools (like our Blackboard(tm) system. Our Blackboard installation is located behind our firewall and most information is secure. Yet this installation is not considered HIPAA compliant. What basic setup would be 'required' to make something HIPAA compliant?
