Brailer-vision: You're not paying attention if you don't know that Dr. David Brailer is the Bush Administration's Healthcare Information Technology Czar. It was he that came up with the idea of using the VA's Vista program to make EMR technology available to all physicians, and he's definitely a proponent of more information technology and computerization in the healthcare industry, particularly in the business practice aspects of the industry.

Dr. Brailer was on Capitol Hill yesterday speaking to the House Ways and Means committee, and you can read his prepared comments here. I haven't heard whether there were any contentious questions from the committee members, but I suspect there were.
