Why haven't doctors rushed to Electronic Medical Records? It would make a lot of sense that doctors would be energized to get the entire universe of medical records transmogrified into electronic formats. Why haven't they been pushing this? This
article by HealthLeaders suggests that it's the 4 C's: Cost, Culture, Connectivity, and Community. Of course, add to that the need for unified standards and crossover utility, and you understand why it hasn't taken on an impetus of its own. It will, though, especially if the federal government gets behind the effort.
