Recent news from HHS:

The OIG recently reported that it had surveyed all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and nine of them won't be ready for HIPAA's transaction and code set requirements by October of this year. All but one will have some type of fix in place (they don't say who the culprit is) even if they aren't compliant. Want to guess the big problem? That's right, kids: money.
