Hyphen problems. As reported below, the employer ID portion of the transaction and code sets standards is the tax identification number of the employer. However, that number usually starts with two digits, then a hyphen, then 7 more digits. WEDI (the Workinggroup for Electronic Data Interchange) wants the hyphen dropped. Who could blame them?
